                Essential Questions: What techniques do non-fiction writers use to convey their opinions and help you grasp

                the concepts they put forth? How does flashback and foreshadowing create suspense?

               Goal: Students will be able to use summary skills and take notations to analyze a passage; Students will be able to 

                recognize main idea and give supporting details from the text as evidence.  Students will be able to recognize and analyze

                literary techniques  and devices.
